Writers Workshop

Are you a romance writer looking for accountability and support? Whether you’re getting off the ground on a contemporary love story, proofreading a romantasy, or thoroughly stuck on a historical tale, you’re welcome at Swoon City’s monthly Writers’ Workshop: a fun, low-stakes roundtable focused on plotting and brainstorming with fellow writers. 

Expect good vibes, new friends, and a healthy amount of writerly commiseration! This is a judgment-free zone, suitable for writers of all romance genres and experience levels.

First Wednesday of every month, 7 to 8. Free to attend; RSVP required. Capped at 10 writers.

LEADER BIO: Audrey Nelson is a second-generation romance writer and the author of Romancelandia: An Ethnographic Novella. She taught a romance-writing class for undergraduates at Wesleyan University, where she also completed Romancelandia—an anthropology thesis on the contemporary romance writing industry. She lives in Ballard with her high school sweetheart and spends her time writing, making radio, and battling romance skeptics.
